Important Information

The following extra information has been compiled from our experience of booking golfing breaks over the past 10 years. Please read carefully as it will help ensure that your expectations are met and that our commitment to you is within our control.

Tee Times

We will do everything possible to confirm your requested tee times. However, hotels and golf courses reserve the right to alter preferred tee times. If your tee times are not available, we will offer you the nearest possible alternative as part of our service. Tee times are based on playing in four-balls, so you may be paired with other golfers on the day. Players are requested to check in at least 30 minutes before their tee time. Resort courses are usually very busy during the high season, and a 4 to 4.5-hour round is a reasonable pace of play, although this can be slower during peak times. We cannot be held responsible for slow play on a golf course.

Playing Conditions

Although the standard of golf courses is inspected regularly, actual playing conditions may vary. Course maintenance, such as aerating greens or improving drainage, can happen with little notice due to weather conditions. In dry spells with water bans, fairways and greens may be burnt and not in the best playing condition. These events are beyond our control and we cannot be held responsible for the condition of the course during your break.

Handicap Certificates

Some hotels and golf courses will require handicap certificates before accepting visitors. We will endeavor to advise you of these requirements at the time of booking and will state them on your booking confirmation. The handicap limit is 28 for men and 36 for ladies. While a certificate of playing ability is not essential on all courses, appropriate golfing etiquette and knowledge of golfing rules are expected. Each hotel or golf course reserves the right to refuse access if individuals do not display the required etiquette and/or knowledge. We cannot be held responsible in these circumstances.

Dress Code

Appropriate dress and footwear should be worn at all times on the course and in the clubhouse as specified in your confirmation. Certain hotels require a dress code for dinner, which will be advised at the time of booking and noted in the extra notes on your booking confirmation. We cannot accept responsibility for any rulings by the hotel or golf course if you or any member of your group is unable to play or dine due to inappropriate attire.

Gentlemen: Tailored trousers or shorts, T-shirts with collars and sleeves must be worn inside the trousers or shorts, and golf shoes with soft spikes or flat-soled training shoes.

Ladies: Golf shirts or blouses, golf trousers, shorts, or skirts, and golf shoes with soft spikes or flat-soled training shoes.

Practice Facilities

Players are welcome to use the following practice facilities: Driving Range, Chipping Green, and Putting Green. No reservation is needed as practice facilities are on a first-come, first-served basis, and a bucket of range balls is included in the 18-hole green fee.

Golf Clubs

Players may hire a set of golf clubs from the respective clubs as each golfer is required to play with a set of clubs. Sharing a set of clubs is not permitted.

Course Marshals

Our Course Marshals will be on the golf course to assist players at all times. In the event of slow play, we request that players accept any decisions made by our marshals.

Non-Golfers / Spectators

For safety reasons and to ensure proper control of golf course operations, we do not allow non-playing guests to accompany players on the course. However, at the club’s discretion, spectators may be allowed on the course based on the following criteria:

  • A maximum of two carts is allocated per tee time. If four golfers are booked for a tee time, no spectators will be permitted.
  • A maximum of two people are allowed to sit in one cart.
  • If there are three or fewer golfers in a tee time, a spectator may be allowed to join the group.
  • The spectator must follow the same dress code as golfers; otherwise, access will not be permitted.
  • An additional spectator fee will be charged.

These rules are outlined for safety, insurance, and operational reasons in the interest of other guests and our members.

Behavior

When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you or any member of your party. Full payment for any such damage or loss must be paid directly to the hotel at the time. If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for meeting any claims subsequently made against us (together with our own and the other party’s full legal costs) as a result of your actions.

We expect all clients to consider other people. If in our reasonable opinion or the reasonable opinion of any other person in authority, you or any member of your party behaves in a manner that causes or is likely to cause danger, upset, or distress to any third party or damage to property, we or the supplier in question are entitled without prior notice to terminate the break of the person(s) concerned. In this situation, the person(s) concerned will be required to leave the hotel or other service. Neither we nor the supplier will have any further responsibility toward such person(s) including any return travel arrangements. No refunds will be made, and we will not pay any expenses or costs incurred as a result of the termination.
