Originally planned to be built on the salt flats bordering the water's edge, Al Hamra Golf Club features gentle elevation changes created by five million cubic meters of sand and expert shaping. The terrain moves around the lagoons, rising and falling from plus one to plus eight meters. Al Hamra Golf Club joined the official DP World Tour venue list by hosting the inaugural Ras Al Khaimah Championship, part of the Tour’s innovative early season 'Middle East Swing,' following prestigious Rolex Series events in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
